Chamomile needs no introduction, but Greek chamomile is worth getting to know again. Tofillo harvests the blossoms in Greece and dries them whole, so the flowers arrive intact rather than as dust in a bag. Open the pack and the aroma is immediate: floral, with gentle notes of apple and honey.
The name goes back to the Greek chamai (on the ground) and milo (apple) - "ground apple".
Naturally caffeine-free, so it suits any time of day.
Preparation
Put about 1 g of flowers (roughly one tablespoon) in a cup or pot with a lid.
Pour over 200 ml of water at about 90 °C, just off the boil.
Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes. Longer steeping gives a stronger infusion.
Strain and enjoy, with a little honey if you like.
Iced: the same method with double the amount of flowers, poured over a glass of ice.
Keeping the cup covered while it steeps holds the aroma in the drink instead of losing it with the steam.

Delivery conditions

Damaged or lost parcels
We ship with DHL and DPD. Until the parcel is handed over to you, the transport risk is ours. If your parcel arrives damaged or does not arrive, please contact us at hello@thebiofoods.com. We will clarify the case with the carrier and send you a replacement or refund your payment.
